Legislative proposal to extend article no. 4 of the Mining Law no. 85/2003
A single article - after paragraph (3) of article 4 of Mining Law no. 85/2003 published in the Official Gazette, Part I, no. 197 from 27 March 2003 with the subsequent changes and additions, a new paragraph will be inserted, no.4 in which the following will be stated:
(4) “Mining activity based on cyanide technologies is prohibited at any stage of gold and silver extraction and also at any stage of wastes processing and enrichment. This prohibition also applies to the use cyanide compounds in any percentage as well as to its use in combination with other methods for waste processing and enrichment.”
